“Well I remember, I remember don’t worryHow could I ever forget it was the first time; The last time, we ever met…”
The day began with working the morning to afternoon shift at the gas station job I had, 7am-2pm. Along with that I had been up the night prior into the waning hours of the same morning, finally going to sleep only about two before I had to actually be there. As a result upon getting home I quickly fell asleep.
I woke up a few hours later around 5pm. My computer was open, it had message notifications on an open tab.
What I was presented with wasn’t much, but enough to instill alarm. From there I called the person to learn they had ingested some 500-600mg of Setraline pills.
Now, the story behind that is in my mind a bit debatable. Relayed from the Tree’s stem in both instances, the first and immediate tale is that they were having the borderline personality disorder equivalent of an episode of mania. If there’s a different term I’ve since forgotten. But at that stage they took, initially, the prescribed amount of 200-400mg contained in two or three tablets. A safe amount. Proceeding this, upon the pills not causing the wanted numbness they proceeded to take two more, amounting to 6 tablets total and 500-600mg injected. Enough to be a lethal dose.
That it wasn’t is solely due to the prescription being over a year since expired. Even then, it still had the tantamount effect of what was, in our assumption based on hindsight research, that of a minor overdose. Vomiting, mainly.
Now, as I was only there for the results, I go off what I’m told. However, with prior knowledge it eerily mirrored a plan they had written up and in some form showed me a few weeks before. I’ll trust what I was told… but I do have assumptions.
