Survivor: Satanic Screen

The reality TV show Survivor is a show in which you see active stratification between a group of people in constant and changing roles. The platitude of the strong dominate the weak and the clever dominate the strong is quite visible in the social dynamics between contestants. Those who are adept enough to adapt to every scenario and with the ever changing landscape of the challenges get by well. The creation of others and purging them from the group. It’s all an exemplary even if rudimentary example of Satanism in ideas.

Nihilism is ever the rage these days

Though that's really nothing new by it

God Is A Weapon: Review of Falling In Reverse & Marilyn Manson's collaborative track

Speculation of a collaboration between the two began in January of this year when Ronnie Radke posted multiple pictures onto his social media's of himself with the God of Fuck. It made sense, as the Falling In Reverse frontman seems to have an affinity for unique collaborative songs, Drugs with Corey Taylor or more recently All My Life with Jelly Roll as other examples. As notably it is the first song released to feature Marilyn Manson since he worked with Ye on Jail Pt 2.

 Now come four months later, it was rumored for a bit online that some sort of track that the two invented would be released on May 20th (today), what exactly was in store is a pleasant as always surprise from the creative effort of both parties. 

 The track is as usual in a different and hard to pin down exact genre with Radke's musical genius. Some parts are oddly (at least personally) reminiscent of Fall Out Boy in a way, I want to say it's akin to Centuries in a weird way. Then lyrically,  I'm not the first to notice and I won't be the last but there is also a line in the song which goes, "You try to take this ring from me, watch me detonate" sung by Manson, which is obviously open to interpretation but considering recent years happenings in the life of the Antichrist Superstar, as well as Ronnie Radke's own personal story- especially with some recent quite hilarious events involving Tommy Lee's estranged wife- could be seen as an accusation of jealousy. It's possible, I personally find it highly likely that much of the (now quite discredited) allegations against Marilyn Manson where on the behalf of some people's jealousy that they didn't get to be Mrs. Warner as opposed to Lindsay Usich. Though I can't say on either behalf directly, I don't know what goes on in other people's heads and can't pretend to exactly. The song speaks about obsession though whether personal or aimed at another, if you point a finger at something there's four more pointing back at you, even in music (see the documentary Heart Like A Hand Grenade for a better explanation).

It was fun to help make, it was certainly an experience no other 16 year old(s as Baphy was there too, though a few months younger than I am.)
