I was thinking of this whole AI apocalypse idea a bit more today and realised: this is nothing more than a broad blanket of Doomeristic thinking. So I wrote this brief poem; it's sort of a combination of my recent polemic piece on AI Doomsday Fantasies and the research back in March I did on the concept of Doomerism as a whole.
Doomerism:
Deterministic despair,
Placant, vacant fetishization—
Faith in death and wait,
Wait lacking in full weight;
Fundamental about inevitable,
Pushed further and nearer away—
Everyday's another end date
