"glory days"
just gilded glaze
synthetically nostalgic
Oh, our incredible "divinely inspired rationale"
We split the atom into a mushroom shaped tomb
kings, presidents, thieves and Oedipus complex-ridden demagogues
Somehow hold the masses in their claws
War, famine-cannoned catapults
A Semitic lineage; Abrahamic insanity
Sadomasochistic totalitarian glee-
in Mother Theresa's smile so sly
Heroes and murderers, the difference is light viewed in, are getting prettier every day
