Sex is an overrated and unnecessary function of the human species. While it can be enjoyable, too much emphasis is put onto it.
Aside from procreation and manipulation, there really is no use to the action. If it’s recreational, the line between leisure and compulsory activity is ultimately obliterated; fueling manipulation but offering little more than another addictive hobby. Sure, this is bastardizing and can be argued against but the evidence to support this opinion (as it’s really just that) is sort of apparent. If human sexuality wasn’t such a convoluted mess, things would be better off: population wouldn’t be a worry, manipulation and propaganda wouldn’t be as effective, more time would be spent on bettering more productive things, less emotionally taxing things at the end of the day.
Sex is temporary, waking up to a new song from your favorite band is a jouir unrivaled by sex, just as an example.
But, with all that, how does the human species get along without it? How does any? Well, we do now have the means of technical asexual reproduction… but to what end?
