Cecil Hepworth's 1903 silent movie adaptation was the first of such ever made based on Lewis Carroll's childrens book Alice's Adventure In Wonderland. It is a nearly ten minute variation that sticks to the script of the source material practically to a T. Like many early films, in viewing it seems more like watching a stage play, but in that is an enjoyable displayed appropriation of the text to the screen. An interesting note is that being made when it was, the actual Alice Liddel whom Carroll based his story's character on was still alive at the time.
