Well, to quote Bill the candy-store clerk from the movie Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory:

I write as a form of art. I write because I can. I write because I will transcribe what no one else will say or do. It is often said that the pen is mightier than the sword- I say it is the modern sword! The pen can preserve and destroy, create, reap and sow… solve et coagula!
