It was interesting. I thought it wasn’t bad, regardless of my view that Marvel is killing the sci-fi industry. It was a well done film, the dialogue was a bit cringey at times, it had better CGI than No Way Home. 

However the plot was a rehash of the first Guardians Of The Galaxy movie, with Endgame trappings. Sci-fi needs a new face, I’m sick of Marvel movies being the only sci-fi with any substance around, because it’s not very substantial at this point, it’s reaching a melting point.

In 2023, TV is still God. Not much but the screen-size has changed. Now our TV’s live in our pockets. Movies and shows are mass-marketed and overproduced. The last decade had Marvel movies and nostalgia reigning supreme. 

Writing this, I think of the essay ‘Don’t Be A Slave To (Others) Subliminals’ by Anton LaVey, from his book, Satan Speaks. As he states, it’s all external influences on our lives and perceptions. TV is designed to be addicting, and to draw you in (a great modern example of this, is The Mandalorian) to wanting more, as well as influencing how you communicate with others (remember when all you heard about for weeks was Baby Yoda). 

We can all laugh at the absurdity of supposed teen dramas that portray seemingly unrealistic events, yet the Cobra Kai show on Netflix gives a perfect spotlight of how seemingly unrealistic events can spread across a younger demographic’s brain-space. And you really see this again with the Dahmer series solidifying the popularity of True Crime and our carnal fascination with death and brutality that most people refuting admit to having… it’s the spoken but unacknowledged fetish. 

One foreseeable outcome of this frenzy, that I personally view as the inevitable outcome, is the entire (entertainment) industry being run into the ground. Marvel is killing itself, it’s the same story movie after movie, with the old predictable tropes. Netflix survives via nostalgia because of the popularity of Stranger Things, which, while a pretty good show, is still just repetitive- “oh I can’t wait to see that Eleven girl get a bloody nose while screaming save the world again!” And then with the new show containing Patrick Bateman for more feminine audiences to steal a new “scary” personality because listening to Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish, in reality, isn’t very special or quirky. 

The internet is the ultimate universal remote control. It was shown perfectly in Click, but that’s just a fake movie for entertainment… right? Wrong! With the internet, you can keep record and do any conceivable idea, all happening with that phone in your hand right now (or computer on your desk/lap). Whether it be home videos, family photos, work stuff, homework, pornography, shopping, planning the future, making the future, it’s all there. 

apparently a little update on life

I’ve been having an interesting 2023 so far. It’s only been a month, but it’s interesting. 

The last week or so I’ve been [re]reading Might Is Right (link to my stuff on that here) and then last night (2/10/23) I just started reading old blogs from people I find interesting, and I’m loving it. 

I’m fascinated with how people work and how their mind’s process things. Sometimes I like to make people think… okay a lot of times I like making people think, it’s part of my unpaid job. I’m currently trying to understand sociopathy, Scientology, gender, and “taboo” subjects. 

I’m currently working on a project with some people. Hope that gets out by Walpurgis. 

One day later (2/12/23)

The things I mentioned yesterday that I found fascinating, I do find fascinating, and it’s interesting how much overlap they all have. Scientology can overlap with sociopathy and psychopathy, which overlaps with *taboo* things like actually seeing what people like serial killers and cult leaders actually did- not just being into it because of a repressed sexual urge that (is what I think makes) most people get into the category.

Might Is Right. It’s a philosophical idea that encourages the idea that might makes right. I’m not necessarily advocating for survival of the fittest or any sort of thing like it. I just think that it’s an interesting concept. I think that anyone who hasn’t given up on this world and how wretched it is, is mighty.

Internet Archive statistics say that around (a little over) 4,000 people have listened to it… I was the first person I knew who had listened to the full 24 hours… until the Summer of Bugbee. And 9 other times I listened to it. 

This is really just to say that if you haven’t listened to it in full and try talking/debating with me about it I will not listen or reciprocate as I have done the work of listening to it, in order for even footing you must do the same. 

the Might Is Right Special

Rammstein as a Celebritarian Band

 Rammstein is a Celebritarian band, by celebritarian standards. They do with performances what Marilyn Manson does… It’s a mirror, a time machine, mockery, and truth. From the little march that Til does to the imagery and aesthetics. 

The music videos, and most blaringly obvious example would be that of Deutschland, which gives the love and hate to the country (of Germany), past, present, and possible future(s). 

Even going so far as to quote the Nazi anthem in the song. 

Like Manson, they were blamed for Columbine, though, unlike Manson, Eric and Dylan indeed did listen to Rammstein.

A Spontaneous Thought of Occult Wisdom

 I was just sitting down, then I had a thought about something that was said in my most recent recorded conversation (will link the convo once it gets released) with Shane Bugbee, and I realized that it’s the same concept as the phrase ‘Solve et Coagula’.

What he said was (paraphrased) was about pulling a thread until whatever was made up of it was unraveled, but can be reassembled into something new and/or better.
